iGNITE event

Our "Ignite" event, organized with IEEE RAS ISTIC SBC, IEEE WIE ISTIC AG, IEEE ISTIC SIGHT SBG, and in collaboration with the Ben Arous Youth Cultural and Sports Center, promoted well-rounded growth through a mix of intellectual and physical activities. Some highlights included: Robotics Workshop: Hands-on robot design and programming. IQ Challenge: Puzzles to boost analytical thinking. Soft Skills Workshops: Building communication and leadership. Chess Matches: Fostering strategic thinking. "Ignite" left participants with enhanced confidence and skills, providing a memorable experience.

mission in vision bootcamp

Mission in Vision was an online event aimed at introducing students to the fundamentals of computer vision. Organized by the IEEE Computer Society ISTIC SBC in collaboration with the IEEE Qatar University SB, the event ran from September 27 to October 1. Open to both IEEE and non-IEEE members, the event attracted attendees from various universities and countries, providing a diverse, inclusive environment for learning. Designed for beginners, "Mission in Vision" offered step-by-step sessions covering essential concepts and practical applications in computer vision, giving participants a solid foundation and encouraging future exploration in this rapidly growing field.

hACKATHON

We organized a hackathon where AI meets blockchain, in collaboration with NEAR Blockchain and hosted at Elaco Coworking Space. The event included preparation sessions on web3 and blockchain fundamentals, equipping participants to use blockchain in their projects. Industry-led workshops and mentorship guided participants in developing innovative applications, from decentralized AI models to blockchain-based data solutions. The collaborative atmosphere fostered creativity, and projects showcased new approaches to tech challenges. The hackathon also served as a networking hub, connecting tech enthusiasts and offering prizes for top teams, encouraging impactful AI and blockchain solutions.

robotech conference

Our Robo'tech event, co-hosted with the IEEE RAS ISTIC SBC, was a one-day conference uniting organizations like the Tunis International Center for the Digital Cultural Economy and various robotics and sports clubs and in partnership with the the Ben Arous Youth Cultural and Sports Center. Highlights included: VR Gaming: Hands-on VR experiences. Collaborator Stands: Displays from tech, robotics, and gaming collaborators. Workshops: Sessions on soft skills and robotics. Speakers Session: Youth presented tech and robotics projects. Robo'tech inspired learning and networking, encouraging interest in tech, robotics, and gaming.

robodev program

Since February 10, 2024, the RoboDev program has provided an opportunity for young students to explore technology and innovation through hands-on workshops and competitions. This initiative, led by the IEEE CS ISTIC SBC, in collaboration with the IEEE WIE ISTIC AG, IEEE RAS ISTIC SBC, and in partnership with the the Ben Arous Youth Cultural and Sports Center, focuses on developing kids' skills in robotics and web development. Through interactive Arduino-based robotics sessions and introductory web development workshops some of which were led by our dedicated members. The program empowers children not only to learn but also to showcase their talents, as they have already participated in multiple robotics competitions and achieved remarkable success. RoboDev aims to inspire the next generation of innovators by merging education and competition in a supportive community.

silicon valley event

Our internal event, “Silicon Valley: Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” inspired students to explore the world of tech startups. Participants were randomly assigned to teams, each tasked with presenting project ideas focused on themes like disruptive technology, digital transformation, and social impact, along with proposed solutions and potential market impact. Following each presentation, a Q&A session with mentors offered valuable insights. By the event's end, two teams decided to start developing their website ideas.
